It is truly serendipitous that Michelle Miles wrote of yet another incarnation of the "Shoe Hat" in her blog this week. Okay so... I was wondering what to blog about this week when I ran across the picture at the left. I mean, I think I stared at it for a good ten minutes before I finally moved on to what I was actually doing.
I saw it on Yahoo. Apparently, this is a creation by Japanese designer Kazuo Takashima for the 2007 Spring & Summer Tokyo Collection. I'm not sure if I would be tooting around town in something like this, but it is rather unusual. Isn't it?
It got me to thinking... why would you want to wear a shoe on your head anyway? I mean, I guess if it was a Manolo or something...then, maybe. But not this. It's kinda tacky, don't you think? Of course, it doesn't help that her eyeliner is running all over the place. You'd think she could get it together instead of looking like a football player about to head to the line of scrimage.
