I think I've officially crossed the line to shoe-nerd. I've taken my obsession to new heights beyond all reason.
Yes, folks, I have begun to review shoes on Zappos website.
But hey, it's the least I can right since I give them so much of my money, right?
Recently I purchased three pairs of shoes with them and I felt compelled to review each pair. The KORS Time Square, which is a lovely sandal with a cork heel. Did you know cork heels are the in thing? I had no idea. I'm so not trendy and I try never to be (I just buy what I like) so imagine my surprise when I discovered I was "in". read more...
Off the Shoe Wagon

If the shoe fits, buy it, but only if they have it in your color.
In the last week, I have bought four pairs of shoes. This is definitely a sickness.
But I have to commend Zappos.Com for their excellent customer service and their terrific sale prices. I have to admit, they totally sucked me into the vortex of shopping for shoes when I certainly don’t need any.
How can I pass up a $175 pair of Steven by Steve Madden in brown satin with lots of bling for $39.95, though? Or a pair of $245 pair of KORS Michael Kors cork sandals for $43? It would be criminal if I hadn’t purchased them. And I certainly couldn’t pass up the Gabriella Rocha hot pink stilettos with the ankle strap, could I? (Oh yeah, and I got a boring pair of flats – needed – but not nearly as fun as the others.) read more...
If God had wanted us to wear flat shoes, he wouldn’t have invented Manolo Blahnik.

Have you ever coveted a pair of shoes? Or am I the only obsessive shoe-a-holic like that?
I was reading one of my shoe newsletters (yes, I subscribe to several) and ran across the most beautiful pair of shoes I’ve ever seen in my life. I swear I think I sat there for twenty minutes and stared at them.
Roberto Cavalli, velvet, 4 1/4” heel, rhinestone ankle strap with hidden zipper. They’re totally sexy. However, since they cost more than my mortgage, it’s probably a no. read more...
Big Sale at Bluefly and The ShoeIQ Shoe Store
Posted October 5th, 2006 by Jim For those of you who love the high fashion shoe designers, but feel that some of the prices you see at Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman are a little out-of-control, you might be interested in checking out Bluefly. Bluefly is one of our advertising partners, so I openly admit my bias, but we really do love the store and enjoy promoting them on ShoeIQ. Why? Because they're one of the only online retailers who offer exclusive name brands like Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Prada, Gucci, etc (personally I'm a fan of the black Camper Pelotas ), at prices that bring some of these brands within reach for the majority of us who have to satisfy shoe addictions on a budget. Now I'm not suggesting they're cheap - these shoes are the real deal, after all - but they are in some cases much less expensive than at some of the major department stores. And right now, they're having a big sale with some items up to 85% off their original list price! Visit Bluefly today to take advantage of this limited time offer. read more...
