What is your favorite, a purse, make up bag or wallet, for carrying your essentials?
I have to say a purse for me. I have way too many things to carry something smaller!
I used to carry a purse before kids and then it was a diaper bag. Now that I don't need the diaper bag anymore I just never really got into the habit of carrying a purse again. Now it is just a wallet.
Def. a purse...I have tried carrying something smaller - a wristlet for example...but it just doesn't work for me...I envy those who can carry something so small yet have everything they need

I would love to have a collection of clutches for summer. I like to have something slimmer than the purse I usually carry for everyday purposes. I haven't had much luck with some of the straw purses.
I seem to buy alot of pureses. I really don't worry who they are made buy. If i like them I buy them. I don't have many straw ones. But the ones I have I always spray with Scotch Guard when I bring them home. It seems to help keep them clean.
My problem is my wallet is so ridiculously big that even if I am only going out for the evening it requires a big bag. Do any of you have suggestions for cute smaller wallet (not that expensive) for going out purposes?

Actually, I generally have my checkbook in my back pocket and that's all I carry. Though, I have to admit, lately I've been carrying a plain tote bag. Nothing fancy, but it holds what I need.
I also love handbags...my problem is I buy a whole bunch (expensive ones I might add) and then never switch them out. I just carry the same one around. I have a friend who shops with me for handbags but she is so good about it dumping the contents of one into the other each night to change them out.
I always carry a purse that isn't too big. Everything is in it, my wallet, checkbook, keys, and makeup bag. It's time for a new one. I always get them at Hecht's (Now MACY'S) and at 75% off everything. I love those sales!
I carry a small purse with a zippered top. It's a cute brown one that really goes with almost anything. It holds everything I need as I don't like a cluttered purse.

When the kids were in
When the kids were in elementary school, purses drove me crazy, trying to keep
up with the kids and the handbags was a bit much, I never forgot or lost the kids
but I have misplaced my purse. Back then I started using a fanny back...I think
that's what it was called...and my dilemma was solved. All my essentials in a small
never to be misplaced pouch. The only problem, they are so unattractive, I wish
I could find some updated and cute designs...
