The Dolce & Gabbana brand was created in 1985 and has grown to become one of the top luxury goods Groups in the world. The two founders, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, have always been the creative source of the Group’s brands, Dolce & Gabbana and D&G Dolce & Gabbana, and the leaders behind the company’s intensive growth. The Group creates, produces and distributes clothing, knitwear, leather goods, footwear and accessories for the top end of the market. Dolce & Gabbana and D&G Dolce & Gabbana fragrances and eyewear and D&G Dolce & Gabbana clothing, watches and jewels are instead currently managed under licensing agreements. On December 31, 2005, the Dolce & Gabbana group consists of a total of 2,392 employees, two production facilities, one in Legnano and another one in Incisa in Val d’Arno and a global proprietary store network of 83 stores plus 11 factory outlets.
