Dear Santa:

I know I've purchased a lot of shoes this year, but can you blame me? I couldn't help myself. How could I pass up the lovely Guess Carrie in white leather? Or even the BCBG Roost in black with the winter camel stripe? Okay, okay, so maybe I didn't need the Michael Kors Times Square with the cork heel (but they ARE cute, aren't they?) or the clogs with the furry top... or the Franco Sarto Intrigue in black (but THOSE are gorgeous and I always get compliments when I wear them...). And perhaps I didn't need the Steve Madden Tabea (even though they DID come with a flaw) or the sexy hooker boots in black with the spikey heel... (but ... WOW... they are hot). read more...

Have you ever coveted a pair of shoes? Or am I the only obsessive shoe-a-holic like that?

I was reading one of my shoe newsletters (yes, I subscribe to several) and ran across the most beautiful pair of shoes I’ve ever seen in my life. I swear I think I sat there for twenty minutes and stared at them.

This past week, in the mist of the craziness of my life, one of my really good friends asked me if I could help her out. I called her back, 6 hours later, and asked her, "So what’s going on?" She went on to tell me how she was going out with some new guy and blah blah blah blah. The kicker in this was that she had no idea what to wear on their first date. Now, she knows that there is nothing I wouldn’t do for her. She told me that she had a few days, but no time to shop for anything because of her work load.

I’m thinking, sure why not! After all, I only have two shoots coming up, a mountain of paper work, 3 parties I have to go to, an interview that’s been pushed back more times then even I can count, and I’ve yet to sit down and see this week’s installment of Project Runway! Now, before I could think of a way to kind of get out of it she says, "Don’t forget shoes! I know I always say: no shoes. So go crazy!
