Supermodels...Super Shoes?
Posted October 26th, 2006 by Le ShoeGal
Cindy. Claudia. Niki. Frederique. No, it's not a 90's flashback...it's SHOES. Stuart Weitzman shoes to be exact, up for auction. The Good: the proceeds benefit breast cancer research (fantastic!), Carol Alt (old school, but still sooo gorgeous), and running five years strong. The Bad: uh, who is Sophie Anderton...and Vanessa Trump...and Marie Helvin? The Ugly: well, how do I say it nicely...most of the shoes:

Alas, fear not my dears, there are some cuties...
Cindy's shoes have the most bids (4) and are up to $625. I think it's due to the beauty mark and that amazing hair, beauty marks are good luck and we always always always remember the girls with sexy hair. Plus her shoes look like those fab little vintage magazine clutches.
Vanessa Trump's (Wikipedia tells me she's Donald Trump Jr's wife) heels are lovely in lace...though I'm not fond of the rhinestones. Lace and only lace is enough, thank you.
And my personal favorite...Petra Nemcova's wildly funky heels. I know they're a little kooky, but I'm diggin 'em!
Now you only get one shoe with each auction...there is no mate included. Which means that if you're looking to wear these (*grins*), you're gonna have to win TWO auctions. And from the positioning of the shoes, it looks like some are left and some are right. To make it even more complicated, there are no sizes mentioned. So baby, I guess you'll just have to hope they fit. As for matching, here's how I'd do it:
and
The Daniela Pestova shoe worn with the Marie Helvin shoe. Why? Well, if you're ever bored, you can either do crosswords or pretend you're in Hawaii.
and
The Kim Alexis plus the Gisele. I love holidays and these are Easter and Carnival all wrapped into one pair!!!
and
The Niki Taylor with the Bar Rafaeli. Because...they kind of match...in a crazy, blingy, over-the-top glammy way? And hey, what's pink without black!
Ugly or not...they're still designed by supermodels and the $$$ goes to an incredibly important cause. You can check out the whole collection here: Stuart Weitzman's Bid for a Cure. The auctions end on Halloween, October 31, 2006 at 11:59:59pm.
