Sole Collector Issue 14 Made It To My Mailbox

Sole Collector

First I want to say that I’ve been down with Sole Collector since day one. I talk to D. Wells on a regular basis. He writes for SC, so as usual I’m pumped when a new issue arrives. If you don’t have a subscription I suggest you think about it.

They did a piece on “Bodega,” a shoe boutique in Boston. It’s a concept store where the outer of the store looks like a small grocery store. Then behind the store is a shoe store - a shoe store that receives quick strike Nike’s along with other brands. I thought this was quite innovative; I don’t think I would have ever thought about something like this.

Also they did a break down of all the Sole Collector Shoe competitions. This is something that I was actually a part of. Although I did not win, I did participate in Boston and I loved every minute of it. Shoe competitors from all over the country attended these events. Then with the winners of every event from the cities of: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Hawaii, Boston, New York City, Miami and Seattle met in the Finals in Vegas. The Grand Prize from Vegas was a limited pair of Air Force 1’s, 1 of 1, lasered by Mark Smith himself.

Along with this issue there is a run down of fall lines of many lines, ranging from Es to Reebok, along with Nike and Jordan Brand. These were impressive layouts and should be looked at by all true “shoeheads.” Be sure to check out issue 14.

Thanks for your time....happy shoe hunting…
