Larger-size Fashionistas – Unite!

Since I’m a shoe-nut, the topic of conversation (with other women that is) eventually turns to shoes. I’ve heard several women tell me they have larger sized shoes and just can’t find a cute pair worth buying. Most of the ones they DO find (especially on clearance) are in a word, ugly.

In fact, I’ve seen this myself. Shoes that are in size 9 and up on the 75 percent off rack are…terrible. Heck, even shoes in my size on the 75 percent off rack are terrible.

So it’s with some excitement I bring you a company in the virtual world of shoes called Barefoot Tess.

Founded in 2006 specifically for women with larger sizes, Barefoot Tess features some very chic, cute shoes in larger sizes. Now, I don’t know about you – but if I were a size 9 or up and couldn’t find shoes that were worth having, I would definitely check them out. Okay, so I checked them out anyway. I AM a self proclaimed shoe-nut, after all.

The company, owned and operated by a mother-daughter team, is located in Maryland with a brick and mortar store. But their online boutique gives you easy access to their stock. They even offer free shipping on orders of $75 or more. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a great deal to me.

Stylish, cute, fun shoes can be found in sizes up to 14. Who wants to wear a clunky pair of shoes when you can have something like… oh… this:

See? Gladiator sandals are super hot this summer (too bad Russell Crowe doesn’t come IN them…) and these come in size 14.

I was amazed at the selection of shoes, not only in sizes but in lots of designers to choose from. Lots of cute styles and shoes for every occasion.

These make me think of spending nights on a dance floor with some hot guy:

Now, for those of you who have larger sized feet, you no longer have to be a slave to sneakers and flip-flops. You, too, can find shoes that are…well, just fabulous! You can visit the website online at http://www.barefoottess.com/.

Happy Shoeing!
