Allow Me To Introduce Myself...

First things first, I would like to thank ShoeIQ.com for the opportunity to write this blog. Some of you may know me through the message boards at Niketalk.com or Solecollector.com. Previously I have written for solecollector.com - you can see that here. You can also see an article about me vie MKEonline.com, here. That is some of the shoe stuff I have been a part of thus far.

Also I have competed in Shoe Competitions through Sole Collector Magazine, below is a picture of my table from the Competition in Boston:

Boston Shoe Competition

I was born in Odessa, TX home of Friday Night Lights. At the age of 7 I moved to Marshfield, WI and upon the completion of High School, I moved to Milwaukee, WI to attend Wisconsin Lutheran College. That is what I am currently doing, now a junior I can not wait to get in done with all of that. I have a three-year-old daughter, she turns four November 18th. She is also an avid sneaker collector. I would like to believe I played a part in that. Along with that I have an amazing girlfriend who is slowly but surely beginning to figure out this whole shoe thing, for that I am grateful.

With this blog, I’ll be addressing sneaker collecting, athletic shoes, and casual street wear. Some things I feel I’m pretty knowledgeable. If there is anything you would like me to write about, hit me up - I’m always looking for new things to write about. Also, watch for my entries on Tuesdays.

Jordan XIAs for shoes, my collection now tops over 500 pairs, ranging from Air Maxes to Jordan to SB Dunks. Everything I have I genuinely like. The most Frequent question I am asked is “How did you get started Collecting shoes?” and to be honest with you, that answer would be Basketball. As a fifth grader, the Legendary Jordan XI. To me that shoe embodied, the elegance that Michael Jordan played with. With that Patent leather and the simple details throughout the shoe drew me to the shoe, and I was hooked. Since then I kept up to date with every Jordan model, and what they were doing, I began learning names of Designers, when a shoe would come out and so forth. Then my Nike Shoxfreshmen year came and I had a job at the Athletes Foot. So now I had money and a discount and about this time Nike introduced Shox, specifically the BB4 for me . Although it did not fit uniform requirements ala a young Michael Jordan, I had to have it. Then everything snowballed and I began buying two to three pairs on a release day.
